There has been quite a bit of “take the kids to work” this week, and next week will be no better! We are filing this little phase under “early work experience” ;)

But seriously, I’m speaking to more and more mums now who are expected to work full time from home, with kids around, and it makes me mighty grateful that we both have a lot of flexibility and sometimes the boys just have to come along and hang out at Graftons…

Have you had to take your kids to work with you?

Everything is just so different, but just a few more weeks and it will be the summer holiday… not that we will feel a huge difference…

I’m spending a bit of time with the remote contr

I’m spending a bit of time with the remote control for the camera while we are all stuck at home – practice what I preach and all that. Most of the time it isn’t particularly successful, and it all falls apart, but it makes me smile. These are from April, which feels forever ago, but now I’m pleased I took them! A tiny piece of our everyday in lock down.

When did you last intentionally get in a picture with your kids?

(I have absolutely no idea why S thought it was essential to include the penguin goggles!)

Yes it’s heavy and you don’t feel your best, and you don’t feel like being photographed! But, it is also an opportunity, of a lifetime in fact! Who do you know who’s pregnant, we have one lonely spot available for tomorrow ;o)

You just pay your £10 donation for the MIMS team, and then everything else is free, I simply send you your digital files.

And this marks the 1st birthday of the Bump Hour events, which means we will have photographed 49 bumps (unless we get one more, and have a full house of 50 bumps in a year!), I think that is good going!

The new “Early Days” baby photography course is live! In quick simple steps mums will be able to create brilliant pictures of their babies, even just using a mobile phone.

So many babies aren’t able to go to the photographer at the moment, but this is such an important stage to capture, and makes a perfect present. This course includes:

Does it feel like a reflective kind of time for you too? I have a strong sense that I don’t want to go back to the business I had! I think I want to make some (big?) changes, but not exactly sure what.
Are you making any changes to your life and business on the back of all this? How do you know which changes to make?

I’m really looking forward to Nicky’s goal setting session next Monday, it will make me sit down, focus and really think about the next six months.

It’s going to be a reflective kind of week I think :)

There are just 3 spaces left for the Start Back Strong pictures 6th of July, and the Early Bird offer ends on Sunday. That means the price goes from £40 to £60 ;) I am reliably informed that some delegates have secured hairdresser appointments in time for the event – people there is hope!

I have had several people asking if I can “hold” a space for them, and unfortunately I am just not able to offer this – when the spaces are gone they are gone, and you do need to book your space online…

10 years ago, I think this would have been an out take – now it’s one of my favourites from the session, that laugh makes me smile.
Before I had kids, I was only interested in “perfect” pictures, now I’m all about the connection and the emotions! I guess, now I shoot the images that I would like to have :) There is just one tiny little place left for the Bump Hour event next week. There won’t be another event until September.

This was the final shoot I did before lockdown, feels like such a long time ago! Anyway, it was an important session, because Sue had recently joined the legendary @marieforleo B-school, so she will need great images!
You might have seen some of these on Sue’s social media, but I have also added a few more to a blog post on my website.

Ps: If you would like some fresh new images, but don’t feel quite ready to commit to a full shoot, come along to our Start Back Stronger Event on the 6th of July. As a one-off, due to the social distancing, these images are on location instead of in the studio, a rare opportunity.

Monday 6th of July! That’s the date for the Start Back Stronger Event I’m hosting with @nickymassonglobal – somehow, I posted the event details yesterday, without the date! I clearly need more sleep! Is that just me?

Thank you to those who booked already, we can’t wait!

I also had several messages about the price. It is £40 per session if you book both the goal setting and the personal branding images together, or £45 if you just book one. That is less than half price of what we usually charge for these services, so a total bargain, and this will go up by 50% at the end of the month ;o)

This is exciting! Following on from your successful “Start Strong” event back in January, we are delighted to host this midyear review, to get us all back on track, even stronger. Spend the morning with Nicky setting goals and learning how to actually reach them – this is such a great session, I highly recommend it (delivered online). Once you have mapped out your big plans, come out with me in the afternoon to create great fresh visuals for all your big launches. You will get a 15 minute time slot, and come away with a minimum of 4 different personal branding images.
