Did you miss the newborn pictures, the sitting pictures and the first birthday? Well, come for their second birthday – it’s still a very cute milestone and of course you can bring siblings too and of course we will do both family and kids portraits 😊

And if you are worried your toddler might not ”perform”, let me be honest about this session here - this little guy wanted nothing to do with any of my ideas, but they still came away with a gallery full of lovely pictures!

Make no mistakes, the BEST time for baby pictures will always be the sitting, crawling phase, but if you missed that, still come and have your pictures…

Do you worry that booking pictures might feel fake

Do you worry that booking pictures might feel fake? I see it as intentional?! I’m personally very intentional about getting into pictures, multiple times a year I make this happen for us. Nope, there is nothing “natural” about dragging a chair into the field. Yes, I will make sure everyone is wearing clothes I like, yes it takes time, no my husband and the boys are not always delighted, but it’s always worth doing 😊

This is why making it all quite loose and playful helps. Yes of course I help guide you the whole time, but ultimately you just hang out with your kids and have a lovely time.

Everyone has a budget, and if yours doesn’t curr

Everyone has a budget, and if yours doesn’t currently stretch to a bespoke session of your core family, then look at the extremes for better value! Go for that big extended family session where you bring your parents, your siblings and their families – suddenly 3 or 4 house holds are sharing the cost, and it’s a total bargain. This makes for a great present too for parents’ round birthdays and anniversaries ❤

Or, my personal favourite, go for a mini, these are excellent value! You will have the loveliest time and get a brilliant gallery of pictures. Of course se will still do family pictures, kids together, kids individually and all the fun ones…🥰

BUT, you only have two chances a year for outside mini, and the next one is May the 10th, with just 3 slots remaining…and yes of course you can bring the dog 😉

As the boys grow bigger, and simply do less cute t

As the boys grow bigger, and simply do less cute things every moment, I find myself drawn to taking other pictures, just all the random elements in life that brings me joy and calm…. However…

… when my mum moved into a (wonderful) care home we had to clear her place out and ALL the pictures from holiday that didn’t have people were discarded. They didn’t hold any emotional connection for us, often we didn’t know where they were taken, many were pretty bad quality…

So, my conclusion is this, I’m currently busy taking pictures that the boys will one day be throwing away 😉
Maybe it doesn’t matter, maybe it’s all ok if I enjoy taking the pictures in the moment…

Finally, for all of you with younger kids, NOW is your time, now is your chance to get the pictures that will never get thrown away!
