Do you think it’s important we have pictures with our kids individually? Or do you just want the picture with everyone?

If you come for baby pictures, the older sibling might already feel like everything is all about the new baby, so it’s good to ensure we also take their portrait and get them with you.

I think it’s really valuable to have pictures with your kids individually, especially later, your kids may or may not remain best friends at all phases in life, but either way it’s a nice message to send that you value them individually too 😉

I can see people giving me that “I know something is different but I can’t work out what it is” look, so thought I’d help you all… nope I haven’t cut my hair, I’ve got new glasses ;o)

This is completely not related to my work, but I bet it’s relevant for others…

After two years of shoving my glasses in my hair because I couldn’t see anything up close I gave in and got varifocals. I’d heard so much bad stuff about varifocals and really wasn’t interested in any dizziness, spending time getting used to something dreadful, tripping up, headaches, any of what I’d heard!

I shoot for @respectacle and in the end braved it with them! Guess what, I put the glasses on in the shop, walked about doing some shopping (amazed at how much I could see), drove home and never gave it another thought, nothing bad happened!
I can read stuff on my phone without taking my glasses of, looking at my screen is perfect… so just for anyone else out there in denial of their need for varifocals, go and look at your options, it might be fantastic…

PS: They had a little simulator that showed me roughly where the “less in focus” area would be, which was very little and very reassuring! And in real life it was significantly less than what the simulator showed, I honestly don’t even notice it.

PPS: Apparently the quality of the glass makes a difference in terms of how much blur you get, which is why cheaper options might be harder to adjust to….

Save this one! It’s mainly for my self really, somehow every single year the spring flowers come as a surprise and I fail to show anyone until it’s too late. This is a reminder of the tiny short pockets of floral opportunities.

Let’s not under estimate just how GLORIOUS May is for pictures – I’m SO ready 😉

I have one little spot with those white flowering bushes (mum holding baby boy and two sisters cuddling) that I could still do a session in.
