Have you been to my studio? It’s a really lovely space 😉

This is a very rough and ready phone tour. Did you know we renovated the entire building when we first took it over in 2018? Everything in there is carefully selected and put together. There are things we found in the building, items from Denmark, from our travels and old items I have collected over the years.

The building itself is full of history and has a lovely soul 😊

Anyway, of course the environment maters when you are being photographed, you want to feel at ease and more importantly you want your baby to feel at ease – babies love my studio 😊

Someone said this on a photography TED talk and I feel this is sooo true?!
In the older pictures we completely accept that people might have their eyes closer or caught in a “less than perfectly flattering” view.
But now, ohhh now we expect to look flawless in every single picture. Not just good, but the kind of good that we convince our selves that we should look… mostly the kind of good we looked roughly 15 years ago… but that isn’t really what photography came to do 😉

I feel this ever increasing gap between how people wish to look in pictures and reality is possibly the biggest frustration for someone like me who aims to create memories of you and your kids together – memories for your kids in the future.

I’m guilty too! But that pictures that we just can bear to look at, that’s probably how our kids see us all day long… 😂
